Camp Bowie
Warm Oak and Quartz Kitchen
The Task & Project Vision
This kitchen had a personality long before we arrived. Our job was to honor it.
The stacked stone feature wall in this Camp Bowie home sets a tone that is warm, grounded, and entirely its own. When our longtime client — a retired CPA who has trusted us with his home for many years — was ready for a full kitchen remodel, that wall was never going anywhere. Neither was his vision. He knew exactly where he wanted his cabinetry, exactly how he wanted the space to function, and exactly what he wanted to keep. Our job was to listen — and to execute it with the level of craft he had come to expect from us over the years.
What emerged is a kitchen that feels less like a remodel and more like a natural evolution. Every element was chosen to speak the same language — warm, organic, and completely at home in the space it occupies. The custom upper and lower cabinets, 28-inch peninsula, custom refrigerator pantry, and handcrafted vent hood were all positioned precisely where the client envisioned them, then stained in a rich classic oak finish that adds depth to the grain and warmth to the room. Real wood, honestly expressed.
Calacatta quartz runs seamlessly from countertop to backsplash — its soft white ground and delicate veining echoing the natural tones of the stone wall without competing with them. Underfoot, Scriptor porcelain tile brings the look of natural stone to a surface built for daily life — grounded, durable, and completely cohesive with the wood and stone surrounding it. New LED recessed fixtures and warm under-cabinet lighting complete the space, illuminating every surface at every hour without disturbing the room's quiet, natural character.
Oak. Stone. Quartz. Three materials in honest conversation with each other — and with the home they belong to.
